Finally we have free time for us to post new update for our blog. Sorry for the rather late post as we are very tired after coming back after our activities. So, what are the activities that make us very tired? So just read on.
On friday(31/10/2008), it was known to be a halloween day in the europe and US countries. But in the asia such as Spore we do not celebrate such event. But right here in HK they do celebrate halloween but not so grand la. We have lesson in the morning which is the practical on BCT whereby is our first time making polyacrylamide gel for gel electrophoresis. Though the process is very tedious but it indeed was the first time making. As in the past the ones we used is ready make. The whole practical took us 4hours. Which make us exhausted and tired. But we have learn something new over here. It is a rare chance as in spore, we might not get such a chance to make polyacrylamide gel. After our lesson, we went lunch with Ting as they are also having their lunch break. After lunch, we proceed to the learning resource centre whereby there are activities for the halloween event. And we also went to the man make haunted house where we waited for 1 hour to enter the house as they only allow four at a ago. But the feeling we have when in the room was really creepy. There were some "ghost" who will frightened us. But its quite cool. We also take photos with those "ghost". its really enjoying for us after a stressful lesson or practical for the whole week. In the evening, we went to Tsim Sha Tsui to celebrate Yonghui birthday which falls on the 31st of October. We celebrate together with meg who take the trouble to get a birthday cake for him and the AFS students whereby they didnt have any lesson for the day. He was shocked when a birthday cake appear in front of him after our delicious steamboat dinner. This year he is turning 22. happy birthday Yonghui and STOP BEING TOO FLIRT!!! Haha..Next, we went to take the star ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui to central whereby it is easier for us to go back hostel. The night view of Hong Kong was really beautiful. By the time we reach home is already 10pm and we were very tired. We turn in early as we are going to macau the next day.
On saturday(1/11/2008), we woke up quite early and leave the hostel at about 8.45am as we are meeting Jun Yong's friend as they will be bringing us around macau. But we need to take a ferry over as macau is quite a distance from Hong Kong. Upon reaching macau, we found lots of casino over there. It was a facade of Las Vegas. But we didnt go in. We only went to the entrance of the casino, wyee wherby they have a entrance show. The show is very nice. We took phots of it and left after the show.In the building, the environment looks very high class. We also went to eat the famous portuguese egg tart and the famous seafood restaurant. We bought some "Xi Ren Bing" back as we wanted to bring to spore before heading back to Hong Kong. But the ferry to Hong Kong is 10.45pm. Thus, we hand around before boarding the ferry. The journey back was rather unsafe as the tigh was high, therefore there are big waves. We were told by the crew to fasten our safety belt as the ferry was a turbo jet. Which means it was travelling at high speed. But we return hostel safe. We very very exhausted but we enjoyed ourselves. By the time we reach hostel is already 1am. Thus, we have a bath and turn in early as the next day is a sunday and we have lots of things to do{like our student log book, school work and etc.)
