This is our 4th week of GEP. Today we have microbes and infection lecture. Dr Bessie Fong have spoken to us about sexually transmitted diseases(STD) the three most common bacterial of STD. One is caused by neisseria gonorrhoea which is gram negative diplococcus, non motile and sensitive to cold and drying. Second is Syphilis which is cause by treponema pallidum this have to cultivated in testicles of lab rabbits. Lastly is chlamydial infection which looks like spherical shape and obligate intracellular bacteria. That is the only lesson for us today and then we went to causeway bay for shopping but the their things are much more expensive then in singapore. So we decided to take bus to shau shui po mtr station and went to the nearest shopping centre that place i mean the things are very cheap!!! Almost the things there are 40 precent cheaper, compare to singapore and then we happliy went back to hostel and have our dinner there.
