No gloves not safe

Today, it was the first time we do our hands on practical for the animal cell culture module. Apparently, we need not need to wear gloves but due to being used to wear gloves during practical which acts as a safety precaution. In the end, we suggest one of us no wear gloves during this practical to see whats the feeling of doing sub culture of tissue cells in the laminar flow hoot. We were told by one of our teacher who use to teach us, Mr Nick, that this is very common in the industries as they think it is not wise to wear gloves. We happen to see him online last week and chat over with him.
In today practical, we are doing the sub culture of the tissue cells in the flask which is onli used for tissue culutre. We add some medium to the flask, incubate for about 3 to 5 minutes before viewing it under the inverted microscope where we can see the movement of the cells.
The thing that interest us is when we view the flask under the miscroscope after incubation. The purpose of this is to see if the trysinization is completed. And to help thr cell to lift to the surface, we hit the side of the flask and view it under the microscope again.( can see the difference from the picture above)
In the afternoon we were suppose to meet Dr. Helen Wu to access and sign our student log book before we go for our lesson. But we couldnt find her in her office. Thus, we head for our lesson as it was rather late and decided to arrange another time to meet her again. We went for our lecture on Biochemical Techniques which is being taught in cantonese again. Haiz... But its ok, at least we understand wat Dr. Bessie Fong is trying to say thought till now we cant speak simple canto. But we will try our best.
Apparently we have no lesson for the next two days. We decided to go to Hong Kong heritage museum. We also thought of asking Dr. Helen Wu if she can arrange some lab work for us as we are rather bored on the days we do not have any lesson. We also want to have a feeling of working as a lab technician preparing reagents for experimental purposes.
