Today, it happen that we do not have any lessons. So, we decided to stay in the hostel and have a good rest as we have not been sleeping well lately. Is either going to school or going for some leisure activity ever since we arrived. At about 1.30pm, the food science students who have finish their lessons, called us if we wants to join them for some window shopping at a mtr station called olympic. We agreed and meet them as they make their way to the meeting point. At there, there is two shopping mall, mainly olympic city phase 1 and 2. We went to phase 2 as in phase 1 there isnt nothing much to see. We have 1 game of bowling to relax ourselves and went to the supermarket to buy some groceries and see if there is avalibilty if the microwave food we are looking for. After that we head back to hostel to have our dinner in the hostel and do our report.
Our reflections
apon arriving in HK, we thought it is hard to survive in a country whereby we do not know their language here, but we have to learn some basic cantonese. But that indeed help us alot. Been here for about 3 weeks, we still do not know how to speak cantonese but by now we do know and understand what they are speaking especially in lessons when the lecturer is teaching in cantonese. But right here in HK is unlike singapore as in HK, their day break is very early, and the citizens in HK is very cautions of personal hygience. when they are down with a cold or flu, they will have to wear a mask unlike in singapore. But we do learn quite alot of things that in singapore we cant get the experience.
